Thanks for the Grub!

Thanks again Jenny, Shawn, Mayzie, Amber, Greg and Rachele!! We had a great night!

Tidbits

Cole:
1. Cole gained 7 ounces in 5 days. He is now weighing in at 5 lbs, 13 ounces.

2. I take him in on Monday for what I call "wiener modification". Poor boy!

3. I hate being peed on but not as much as I hate spit up. Cole decided that today would be the first official "let's pee on mom and see her reaction" day. Reaction - gasp, disbelief as to what is happening and finally, laughing my ass off because I just got peed on by my boy who is only 19 days old. He is grounded now, by the way.

Steve:
4. Is currently drawing up the papers for his first real estate sale. He took the couple to a few different houses last night and they made an appointment to meet this morning to make the offer and get things moving. YEAH STEVE!

5. He meets with another client tomorrow to list their house on the market. YEAH STEVE!

Goliath:
6. He has been such a good dog lately with everything going on around here. I haven't posted anything on him in a while so I decided to get some snap shots the other day. He was giving me all his best poses. Can you determine in which picture he's giving his blue steel look? What a ham!

Always Sleeping

I have yet to get a good "eyes wide open" pic of Cole. He knows the camera and will shut his eyes when we're about to get a picture. Sneaky little guy. So for now, here are some where he's sleeping from the past couple days. I figure I might as well outsmart him while I can....ha ha! It's pretty sad that I consider pics while he's sleeping, outsmarting him. I have threatened to ground him if he doesn't cooperate but I just get a growl and then his face turns bright red and this then means I get to change him. Cole 1, Sara 0. Just so you know, I will be victorious if it kills me!

Cole Update

We took Cole to get weighed again today and he's gained 2.5 ounces since Wednesday. He's now 5 pounds 5.5 ounces. I will take him in again on Thursday of next week to get him weighed again. At this point, he should be gaining an ounce a day. And really, if life were fair, I would be losing a pound (or two) a day! It'd be a whole lot cooler if once Cole had been born, all 70 pounds I gained would have just melted off. A girl can dream...

Here's a video of Cole when he was still in the NICU unit. We were laughing at our poor boy having the hiccups. Man, he's going to be in serious trouble growing up considering Steve and I love to laugh and will most likely play pranks on him just simply for our own amusement. We suck.

First Doctor's Visit

Cole had his first doctor's appointment today and all went well. When we left Swedish on Monday, his weight was 4 pounds, 12 ounces and his jaundice level was at a 12. He weighed in at 5 pounds, 3 ounces today - one ounce above his birth weight (porker). His jaundice level also lowered on it's own and is down to 9.5 which is considered normal. The doctor advised that Cole looks great and is progressing very well. WOO HOO!! We go back in on Saturday to have him weighed again and to also schedule his next visit. Stay tuned....
