So You Think You Can Dance?
This video by far had to be the funniest damn thing that happened to us in Chelan. The guy in the video was hammered beyond belief. Shortly after this little dance, he ordered himself 4 shots, downed them, fell off the bar stool and then got the boot from the bar. Poor Rachele!

Back In Town
We're back from Chelan and had such a great time. Cole had a bit of a tough time adjusting and has a bit of a full body rash. But it's getting better and he's happy to be home. Steve and I are also kindof happy to be home but miss the warm weather and days of nothing but relaxing and catching some rays. We had a couple fun nights out and I will be posting pics and a great video this week. Hope everyone is well.

Seriously?
The past few months, I've had excruciating pain in my right wrist. My OB said it was due to the fact that I retained so much water during my pregnancy and that once I squeezed Cole out and the water drained, it would go away. Now why would I be so lucky.
The water drained after a couple of weeks but my wrist was still killing me. So a couple of weeks ago, I made an appointment with an orthopedic doctor. My appointment was this morning at 8:00 and I have never been so ready to rip some one's head off. Well, I have but whatev.
I am usually a complete zombie until close to 9:00 or 10:00 these days because of the late night/early morning feedings. So it was extra tough for me to drag my ass out of bed at 6:30 so I could get myself ready as well as Cole so we could take off and be to the doctor's office by 7:40 so that they could enter all my fantastic info into their computers.
I, being as anal as I am, make sure that I am on time no matter what. Even if/when Cole decides to spit up all over himself after I've already changed, fed and gotten him dressed so we can take off. Which, of course, happened. So I change him again and we're off. It only took me a few minutes to get to the doctor's office because it's right down the hill from where we live.
So being the prompt woman I am, I'm at the office at 7:40 handing over my info. I happily go sit down and am stoked that I will finally get some resolution to this wrist crap. Low and behold, a few minutes later, a woman comes in and checks in for an 8:00 appointment with the same doctor I'm seeing. WTF? How does that work? Okay, whatever. I'm cranky and tired but I'm a newbie to this office so I just sit and seethe silently.
A few minutes later, a man walks in and guess what? He's also got an 8:00 appointment for the same fucking doctor. I am NOT a happy girl at this point. Not to mention that even though I showed up before the other two people, I was the last to be called in. BASTARDS!
Okay, whatever. So I finally get called back around 8:20. And then I sit and wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. I told myself that once 9:00 hit, I would jet on out of there and give them hell for scheduling three people for the same doctor at the same time. I TOTALLY practiced what I was going to say and how I would say it. Lame, I know. But that's what lack of sleep will do to you I guess.
9:00 rolled around and I was done. My wrist was killing me but surely I would be able to find another orthopedic doctor close by that wouldn't treat my time as if it were nothing. As I was walking out the door, I see a man telling me that he will be right in. Damn. So much for the cool "damn you all to hell" speech I had planned. So I shrug, turn back around and sit. About 5 minutes later, the doctor comes in and apologizes for the wait. I just sat there. I think he was expecting me to say "no problem!" - not going to happen!
Anyway, he tells me that I have a form of tendonitis that is common with pregnancy. He asked me how I pick Cole up and I told him (one hand under his head and one hand under his butt and lift - this is because he was so little for so long that we couldn't pick him up the normal/under the armpit way). However, he apparently feels I am lying about this and tells me that it's because I'm picking him up the normal way. Okay, Doctor Dumb Fuck....didn't you just hear me tell you that I place one hand under his head and one under his butt and go from there....? When I tell him no, that is not the case and that (again) is not how I pick him up, he looks at me a little dumb founded and then says "Good. I was going to suggest that you pick him up like that to relieve your wrist from the weight of picking him up from under his armpits but it sounds like you're already doing that." HELLO.....was I talking to myself earlier?
Anyway, he said that he could do surgery for my wrist but because I'm a new/busy mom, doesn't suggest it. So he opts for a Cortisone shot. I ask what happens if that doesn't work. He says that it should but if not, he will do a second shot in two months. After that, he said surgery.
So I buck up to get the Cortisone shot - which kindof hurts by the way. And now, the million dollar question - does my wrist feel better? And the million dollar answer - NO! Not only does it hurt more than it did, but it looks like I shoot heroine through my wrist. I am now sporting a lovely black bruise and poke mark from the needle. Yeah me!
I'm hoping this is only temporary and within the days to follow, my wrist starts to feel better. I don't like posting pissy blogs but will when I have no other choice. And clearly, I had no other choice (except, I could have opted to not post - but where is the fun in that?)
On a lighter note, I have lost 25 lbs so far from the pregnancy. I have a long ways to go but it's a good start I think. Also, it's a three day weekend for Steve which means he's on baby duty tonight and I get to SLEEP for a whole night. WOOO HOOOO!!! Hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th!
Cheers!

Six Week Checkup
Cole had his 6 week checkup today and he's doing great. He is 9 lbs, 10.5 ounces and 20 3/4 inches long. His head is 14 3/4 inches. He got three shots and is now sporting My Little Pony band aids. Poor guy! Otherwise, the doctor says all is good and we'll take him back in two months.
We had pictures of Cole taken last night. Amanda, the photographer, was fantastic! I will share the link once I get it - this will give you all time to prepare yourselves for the cuteness that is Cole. Of course, you've already seen pics of him....but the pics taken last night are going to be AMAZING! :)
Hope everyone is doing well. I'm off to take a much needed nap now....so tired!
