My Little Boy Is Growing Up - Continued....

Goliath is still at Gail's trying to get business handled with Molly.

In the meantime, Steve and I are getting great sleep as we don't have a dog paw smacking us in the face between the hours of 11:00pm and 1:00am for a pee break.

My Husband The Real Estate Agent

For close to the past year, Steve has been taking an online course for real estate during the evenings when he had some extra time. Well, he completed the course and scheduled his test for this morning. He was very nervous but had high hopes. I got the call a couple hours after he had been gone. Steve not only passed, he passed both tests with flying colors! He can now officially start working in real estate.

Congratulations Steve!!

My Little Boy Is Growing Up!

Soon, I will be able to post about my actual human child. Until then, you get posts about my canine and feline children.

So, shortly after we got Goliath, my neighbor got a mini Pom and a Westie. Both female.
It was decided that we would breed our beautiful spaz of a little boy with the sophisticated well behaved girls next door. It's been quite some time as we've been waiting for Molly (the Pom) and Maggie (the Westie) to go into heat.

The call came this evening. Gail asked if Goliath could "sleep over" as Molly is in heat. I feel like a horrible parent knowing that I just sent my boy - who's not even a year old - over to the neighbor's house to get it on all night long. But at the same time, I'm totally hoping that he performs at his best so he can knock that little lassie up!

So we'll see what happens. You can bet that you'll get an update once I know more. In the meantime, GO GOLIATH!!

Thanks Goliath!!

Apparently, Goliath has decided that he is going to help me get prepared for having a baby and all the messy things that go along with it. Around 12:30 last night (or rather, in the wee morning), I awake to my dog standing over my stomach area. No more than 5 seconds later, he opens his mouth and proceeds to barf all over me and the bed. Me, being half asleep, thinks it's a great idea to put my hand in the now warm area just to make sure it's what I think it is and that my dog actually just barfed on me. Yes, my conclusion was correct. DAMN IT!! It was a messy morning but he's feeling better now! Next time, my goal is to turn him in Steve's direction before he opens his mouth...bwa ha ha!!! I was mad for a minute but realized, he can't help it. And really, how can you be mad at this face?

Baby Update

Hey there everyone! So I had a doctor appointment today. The baby is doing well. I got to hear the heartbeat which was going strong. They drew some blood again but not 5 viles this time which was nice. So here's the fun part....

We go in for THE ultrasound on February 1st. Only two weeks until we find out what we're having!!!

Of course, I've gained more weight than I'd hoped - which I already knew and it sucks but whatev! I'm convinced that I'm just gaining Presca's weight for her - so I'm eating for two but really gaining for four. It's a bunk deal but that's what friends are for! :)

Aside from the baby, things are going well. Steve and I are both ready for some sun and warmer weather!!!

I hope all is well with everyone! Take care!

The String Cheese Incident(s)

So I have been trying to bring in semi healthy snacks that I can munch on at work during the day before I have lunch. Yes, that would be snacks - plural. This child inside of me is more like an alien that sucks out all the food, water, juice I consume so I find myself eating rather frequently these days in order to avoid a headache since Tylenol seems to be more like a stupid sugar pill rather than an actual pain reliever.

ANYWHO, so I started bringing two string cheese sticks a week to start. I am lucky to have a fridge on my floor here so it's quick and easy to throw the SC in the fridge when I get in. Now, I only had been bringing two rather than five because half of the time I forget I even brought something and put it in the fridge. Okay, anyway, when I did actually remember that I had SC, I went to grab one of the two that I brought only to find there was only ONE left in there. Someone had taken the other SC. Now, this irked me at first but I let it slide because maybe someone was more hungry than a pregnant woman - maybe. So I grabbed the one SC left and ate it. I then brought two more SC sticks in a week or two later. Again, when I remembered I had yummy snacks waiting for me, I went to grab one. And AGAIN, there was only ONE in there! Now, I let this slide the first time but second time, NOT COOL! I'm pregnant - for the love of God already! Food to me is like finding a hundred dollar bill to you un-pregnant folks. But okay. Again, someone was apparently more hungry than a pregnant woman. Let it slide again but I am seething now. But readers, don't worry. Just because someone took it upon themselves to eat my food that was in the fridge doesn't mean I ended up starving. No, I keep tons of fat snacks in my cubby in my cube. So while SC sounded delightful, I could deal with a granola bar. So third time's a charm, right? WRONG!! It happens again. Fourth time....I decide to get smart and now I write my name on my SC sticks with a black permanent pen. I am happy to report that there were NO incidents this week. I was able to eat both SC sticks with no problems! I feel like this is a major victory on my part and hope that it happens again next week! If for some reason writing my name in BIG BLACK LETTERS doesn't do the trick anymore, have no doubt you will be hearing about it! Until then, have a Coke and a smile!

HAPPY FRIDAY!
