Baby Update and Girl Scout Cookies

Not too much of an update but the baby is doing well and developing as he shoud be. His heartbeat is 140 - the doctor says it's nice and strong. He didn't have any concerns and said he is pleased with my progress. He then called me a fat cow. Well, not really...but he did tell me to cool it on the carbs which has been my weakness even more so now that I'm pregnant than it was before. The dilema I face now is that within the next couple of weeks, (February 29th to be exact)- for about a month, the little devils I call the Girl Scouts will be out in full force selling boxes of yummy goodness. And I fully plan on buyng several boxes - SEVERAL - and eating them all. It's possible that I might share with Steve, but not very likely. So, how am I supposed to stuff my face with Girl Scout cookies when I'm supposed to cool it on the carbs, eh? This does NOT make me a happy girl! I live for Girl Scout cookie time! Ask Steve and Rachele. Come January, I start a count down. So I am curious to see how I handle this situation. It may not be pretty. Meltdowns may or may not happen. I guess we'll all find out after the next appointment in March.

In other Stredicke news, it is believed that Molly (Goliath's girlfriend) is pregnant! We could have a gaggle of ChiPoms running amuck in a couple short months. We will be getting Goliath and Maggie (his other girlfriend) together tomorrow night but they only have the one chance as we take him in on Thursday to get his berries (of said twig and berries) removed. Maggie is nearing the end of being in heat so the vet says this is the time to do it. Our fingers will be crossed that the first time's a charm.

The ever so talented Rachele came by last night to enhance the awesomeness that will be Cole's bedroom. The ceiling looks AMAZING! Once we get the crib moved back and the rest of the furniture up, I'll take more pics and post them. For now, here's the ceiling and parts of the walls...and Steve's head. Enjoy! As Promised...

Here are the pics of my kankles. They come and go these days. I'm still shocked each time I take off my shoes and socks and see them. It will all be worth it, right? I almost feel mutant...

Rest In Peace

I would like to take a moment to remember my ankles. I used to be able to see my actual ankle and ankle bone on each side.

I now officially am sporting kankles. It almost appears that I have severly sprained both sides of each ankle - minus the bruising.

I have taken pictures to share with you all and once I am over my initial embarrassment and am done having breakdowns about the fact that I have kankles now, I will post them.

It's a Boy!!

We had the ultrasound today and found out we're having a BOY! Steve is very excited about the cool forts he is going to be able to build some day and is convinced that we're going to have a prodigy child. I'll settle for a healthy little guy. The doctor said everything looks great and the baby is developing as he should be and there are no concerns. We do have a name picked out - as of now but of course, this may change down the line. But as of now, our little boy will be named Cole McGowan Stredicke.

We shopped like crazy today buying newborn clothes as well as 3, 6 and 9 month clothes. Very fun! We also found the nursery furniture and attempted to finish the registry. I can NOT believe how exhausting registering for a baby is. I swear it was way more stressful than the wedding registry. I am just loving the fact that we can update things online - phew! :)

As for our other little boy, Goliath is still working his game on Molly. Not only on Molly but Maggie is also now in heat. He is SO tuckered out when we get him back each night now. But I'm liking that both dogs are in heat now so we can hurry up with this whole process so I can get the little guy fixed.
